Intro
Convert Path Contours within Shapes into sub-meshes so that individual Contours can be manipulated.
This Layer converts the underlying mesh structure of a Shape which will have no visible effect on a Shape until other Behaviours that support sub-meshes are added after it.
UI
Keep Holes - When checked, Contours within Contours are treated as holes and 'grouped'. Note that a Contour must be entirely within another Contour to be predictably treated as a hole.
Example
- Using the Pen tool, draw several closed Contours. Do not deselect the Shape as you draw to ensure all Contours are drawn within the same Shape.
- Click the Editable Shape's Deformers attribute
+
button and choose Contours to Sub-Meshes. - Click the Editable Shape's Deformers attribute
+
button and choose Sub-Mesh. - Navigate to the Sub-Mesh's Fill tab and check Replace Fill.
- Right click the Sub-Mesh's Color attribute > Add Array > Color Array.
- Click the Color Array's
+ Add
button twice to add two more indices to the array and set some colours.
Each Contour drawn on step one will be applied a color from the Color Array.
