Buoyancy Field
Intro
Create fluid containers where bodies will float or sink based on their density within a Forge Dynamics simulation.
UI
Size - Set the dimensions of the fluid container.
Fluid Density - Density of the fluid. Bodies with lower density will float, higher density will sink. Compare this to the body's density (set in Forge Dynamics Shape) to control behavior.
Buoyancy Strength - Multiplier for buoyant force. 1.0 = physically accurate, higher values create stronger upward push.
Drag Coefficient - Resistance to movement through the fluid. Higher values slow bodies down more (opposes velocity).
Lift Coefficient - Force perpendicular to velocity direction. Creates swirling/spiraling motion in the fluid. 0 = no lift.
Angular Drag - Resistance to rotation in the fluid. Higher values slow down spinning.
Uprighting - Apply rotational force to make bodies orient themselves to a target angle (self-righting).
Uprighting Strength - Strength of the righting torque. Higher values make bodies rotate to upright angle faster.
Upright Angle - Target angle in degrees that bodies try to rotate towards.
Affects Groups - Enter comma separated strings (e.g. text, rocks) to target/filter specific Collision Groups for a field affect. Collision Groups can be added to bodies via the Forge Dynamics Per Body Settings.
Falloffs - Connect a Falloff to isolate where in the Composition the Field is active.
