Command Search

Pro Feature

Pro features are only available with a Professional licence. To upgrade, visit cavalry.scenegroup.co.

Intro​

Quickly search and execute Cavalry commands including creating Shapes, opening Windows, running menu items and opening Scripts.

UI​

Type / (slash) anywhere in the application to bring up the window. Simply search for a command and hit Return to execute it.

The last three commands run will appear above the search bar for quick access.

Quick Actions​

Certain actions can be performed by choosing a 'Quick Action' from the list. When choosing a Quick Action, the Command Search window will slide to a list of options related to the chosen action for the current selection.

Type Option/Alt + / (slash) anywhere in the application to bring up the window filtered for Quick Actions.

Keyframe…​

Show all the keyframe-able attributes for the selected Layers. Choosing a row will create a keyframe at the current frame for the attribute associated to that row.

It's also possible to add a keyframe to e.g. position.x:

  • Select a Shape.
  • Type Option/Alt + /.
  • Start typing 'Position'.
  • Use the ⬆︎/⬇︎ arrow keys to select the Position row.
  • Type Option/Alt + X

Use XYZ when setting RGB keyframes. For example, with the material.materialColor row selected, type Option/Alt + X to set a keyframe for material.materialColor.r.

Where an Attribute includes 4 channels (e.g. Red, Green, Blue, Alpha), use W to set the forth channel.

Presets…​

Show all the Presets available for the selected Layers. Choosing a row will apply the associated Preset.
